I've just seen an article on Maidenhead Advertiser online about someone who has set up a company to try to build a railway link in Windsor which, to me, seems a bit unlikely.

The website is http://windsorlink.co.uk/

The local map appears to be a multimap map of the area that someone has drawn over using Microsoft Paint, which doesn't lend the concept any extra credibility.

I have in my possesion a wooden swinging office chair which was allgedly saved from Sir Sydney's office, after his death, by his brother.
Does anyone have a picture of him in his office or of the office itself, for me to corroborate the design and make up of this chair ?
It is said that when he was in design mode, he would sit in this chair, and the ideas would come into his mind. He called it his thinking chair.
A stange story, but not unbelievable !!

Four new 'pupils' set to join Oakfield First School and The Lawns Nursery School in Imperial Road, Windsor today (Thursday 19 November) are sure to become true pillars of society.

Billy and Belinda Bollards are specially designed and decorated road safety posts, moulded and painted to resemble primary children in Oakfield and Lawns uniforms.

Four are being installed close to the school entrance as part of their school travel plan in a bid to prevent parents...

I've just had an unsolicited visit (despite the notice on my door) from Southern Electric, purporting to say that he was authorised by my existing supplier to state that I was paying more for electricity than I needed to and he could offer me a saving. I sent him packing. The company was warned about this practise some time ago. but seems to be at it again.

I'm confuzzled re the Daniel expansion.

I thought the redevelopment would result in a complete run from the existing store to the plot where the work is currently in hand. However the artist's impression on the board outside appears to show Gap as surviving, slap bang in the middle. Will it continue to exist as a separate entity? Perhaps someone with access to the planning submission could clarify.
