This morning I went up to the town, on a very warm and sunny day, to watch the parade. Herewith my report, video and pictures.


The moment the troops emerged from Victoria Barracks in Victoria Street the crowds, and they were substantial, started clapping, cheering and waving. It was

			<description><![CDATA[ Had a letter this morning from my friend in Dedworth, (the one who went to &#39;The Parade&#39; last week). She sent a leaflet which she&#39;d been handed
while waiting for the parade, showing, on the front, three guardsmen in an armoured car in Afghanistan. On the back are three pics. One is of a Coldstream
medic treating an injured child, the second is of a &#39; young Guardsman still smiling after being shot in the leg&#39;, and the last is The Mortar Platoon in
action against the Taliban... ]]></description>

			<description><![CDATA[ Many, many thanks, thamesweb..great video, and gave some of us who couldn&#39;t get there, a chance to watch the parade. The BBC coverage was good too. The
Battalion was &#39;marching through Windsor, claiming their right to have the Freedom of the Town&#39;, so their commentator said. &#39;They were marching with
fixed bayonets....&#39;    Very emotional to watch these young men, who are obviously very proud of their regiment, The Colours, and their country. You caught
the mood very well and... ]]></description>
