two novels written by another member of the family, Florence Molesworth Hawtrey. She is descended from brothers, Montague and John Hawtrey. I questioned her on
this and she explained, with the help of the &#39;tree&#39;, that the family married cousins.  She has drawn up a fantastic family tree going back to 1143. It

			<description><![CDATA[ Dawtrey suggests French connection... De Awtrey (actually D&#39;Awtrey) but with a variety of French style endings Awtrai, Awtré, etc. Probably Anglicised at
some point to break the French connection. I have also seen Hawtree, and I bet there are others. The rarity of those able to write... and the greater rarity of
those who could write AND spell, resulted in a number of variants over the years of course. ]]></description>

			<description><![CDATA[ The modern equivalent is <a target="_blank" href="http://www.kellysearch.co.uk/">kellysearch.co.uk</a> but for the last two hundred years &#39;Kelly&#39;s&#39;
was a printed listing of addresses, businesses and private individuals for each town in the country. I have editions from the 30s, 50s and 70s and are useful
for research, but they are hard to come by as of course normally they would have been thrown out when the next edition was published, like phone books.

			<description><![CDATA[ <p>I remember being told by my sister-in-law, (Dorset branch), that she was taken on, many moons ago, when she was 15, by a lady in a tearoom/cake shop along
that stretch opposite The Parish Church......I can only remember the lady&#39;s first name, it was Gertrude.  When she gets back from her holiday, I&#39;ll
email her and get more info. The cake shop was still &#39;going&#39; when I lived in Windsor, was it &#39;Ann Paige&#39;, or was that the &#39;fashion&#39;

			<description><![CDATA[ Not quite sure without going to look, but it is roughly opposite the Parish Church. Both &#39;odds&#39; and &#39;evens&#39; are on the same side so the former
Express offices were at no. 4 for many years and The Castle Hotel at no. 18 opposite the Guildhall. There are a couple of shops with really large windows on
the first floor so I suspect that would have suited a photographers studio. ]]></description>

Chequers.  They were there to unveil the memorial in the church, paid for by a relative of her&#39;s who lives in Malta........she is standing next to Lady
Margaret Thatcher and was subsequently in the newspaper, as &#39;Mrs&#39; Thatcher had told her to &#39;get closer to me&#39;.........she said the photo was
