Flood Map for Windsor
The Flood Maps are under revision at the moment [Summer 2005]. I understand that the reduced flood risk that was publicised with the advent of the Jubilee River has since been withdrawn, or redrawn at least, to reflect the belief that the Jubilee River will never be able to handle its designed flood capacity. How much did it cost???
To the right of this map on the Environment Agency website is a key to symbols, one of which is an area of hatching which highlights those areas that have been protected by recent flood defences. There are no areas on this part of the map that are marked in this way, suggesting that there are no areas benefiting from flood defences in Windsor!
