170 members of the Household Cavalry were presented with their Operational Service Medals today by Princess Anne following recent military service in
Afghanistan. The Princess Royal also pinned the service medal on the chest of her nephew, Prince Harry, at Combermere Barracks. Prince William, Prince Charles
and Harry's girlfriend Chelsy Davy watched the ceremony. The Household Cavalry's commanding officer in Afghanistan, Lieutenant Colonel Edward
Smyth-Osbourne, hands over command of the Household Cavalry Regiment this week.
After the ceremony, they marched to Trinity Church, the Garrison Church, for a thanksgiving service.
