Posts: 21 (04/06/08 15:09:02) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts	I hear they are going to run a Road Train from the Windsor Wheel to the town and back to aid The Windsor Wheel in the summer, the council is altering Alexandra Gardens to suit it, i find it strange and unfair that it does not run through Barry Ave past the Skate park, Fair ground, Barry's, the motor boats and the pleasure boats. I would have thought it would have been fairer and financially better! The firm that run the wheel will be running the Train not the council What do you say? Also i hear the council are going to place a Restaurant boat somewhere along Barry Avenue, does Windsor need this facility, i hear most of the food outlets in Windsor are suffering now!!

How many people put in protests against the planning application for the windsor wheel extending it's hours?

It will be over-priced, a visual eye-sore, a source of noise disturbance in an otherwise quiet area and will add to parking problems, let alone adversely affect the revenues of the other restaurants in the town. The threat of an all-year-round presence of the wheel remains which I for one find really objectionable. The concept of erecting such a giant structure in line with, or adjacent to, views of the castle would not be permitted in any other circumstances. I suppose we have to put up with the visual intrusion for several months in the summer but the threat of permanency has to be vigorously opposed. In the longer term I hope the owners of the wheel will look for another location to despoil and this can be sooner rather than later if we all boycott it. Road Train!!!! I would like the Borough to take on board that Windsor is a tourist town because of the castle and the river. It is not a theme park.
