I am looking for a small lawn mower for a small patch of grass. The Flymo 360 seems to be advertised a lot but my father once bought something similar and returned it as next to useless. So what would a Windsorian suggest? (Notice how I have kept the post Windsor related?? That way it meets forum regs!!!)

It's a while since I worked at B&Q and sold these machines, but the preferred order at the time was: Mountfield Murray (Since gone out of business I think) Qualcast Flymo Also think about if you have to collect the grass yourself..(Even with a box)

Posts: 1693 (17-Apr-2009 02:17 PM) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts	A short while ago I saw that Amazon are offering a little 'Bosch 32cm Electric Rotary Lawn Mower Rotak 320 1000W' for around £50. I know you get what you pay for, but I am trusting that the combination of a trusted name and about 5 testimonials praising it will prove a reasonable buy to keep a little lawn down the road in check. Mountfield was my next choice as I have used these for a number of years, but at the end of the day I pine for my petrol roller mower that gave me real stripes on my lawn in the early days of my gardening experience. Nowadays the lawn is looking unkempt even after a good 'seeing to' by my current Mountfield. The truth is that a good heavy roller and a sharp cylinder gets the best results, and that any kind of rotary mower and the lack of a roller slowly spoils the level of the lawn. Mine is all humpy bumpy now and it never used to be. Talking of dreams, perhaps an ATCO, like they use on cricket pitches and tennis courts!!!

Bosch 32cm Electric Rotary... £57.97 from Amazon. I am happy with my selection, assuming it doesn't burn out by the end of May!
