Hello Royal Windsor Forums.....this is my first time posting but I have been following your site for some time. In fact this website gave me inspiration to start my own blog. But no worries, my blog is strictly political so I am not in competition with this one!
I was just reading Sandra's post which is indeed very sad. I have the same experiences as have many others I know. The loud, obnoxious and inebriated do seem to take over the streets of Windsor after the shops have closed their doors. The stench of urine first thing in the morning and/or vomit as I walk to work is overpowering some days. Coincidentally I wrote a post just recently on this very topic if you care to read it.

The streets in Windsor town centre are cleaned continuously from 6:00am up until 8:00pm daily. Alexandra Gardens is cleaned once daily in winter, and three times daily in ‘Summer’, which starts on 1st April. Unfortunately, there are no litter collections in the evening at Alexandra Gardens.
Where are the litter wardens now and how many are there?
Answer: There are no dedicated Litter Wardens any longer, the Borough’s 20 Community Wardens are authorised to issue fixed penalty notice for littering.
How many tickets have been issued in the past two years?
Answer: A total of 614 fixed penalty notices have been issued since December 2008.
What approaches have been made to schools to help sort out the problem? And how many parents have been contacted to request that their children are advised of their responsibilities towards the community?
Answer: A number of schools have joined the Council’s Adopt a Street Scheme and keep the area outside their school clean. The Council’s Community Wardens carry out litter and anti social behaviour talks in schools.

Unfortunately Connaughton's experiences are typical in the Windsor town centre as I described in several previous posts as well - which is such a shame because Windsor could be & should be such a lovely place without having to deal with situations like that. Attached is recent graffiti along the South Path - I'm not sure if you can tell by the photo but this is huge - and located on Ward Royal property. The RBWM has been notified and the property owners have been asked to remove it, however over a month later and nothing has changed. Having to look at this new eyesore along with all the other grafitti and litter along South Path everyday is quite depressing. Grafitti and litter just bring down the entire neighbourhood!

The Royal Borough's action against graffiti reflects local concern about anti-social behaviour in our community.
The Streetcare Operations Task Force is a specially-trained and equipped team which acts fast to remove graffiti and flyposting effectively from public areas and council property.
The team can also remove graffiti from private property and business premises, although there is a charge for this service and you will be asked to sign an indemnity form before work can get under way.
What can you do to help?
To report graffiti or request the Operations Task Force to remove graffiti from your premises, call 01628 796803, Streetcare Email or use the online report form. If you can, take a photo which you can email to us or submit with the online form.
When reporting graffiti or flyposting, give details of the exact location, the extent of the vandalism and the surface affected. Also let us know if the graffiti is racist or offensive in any way so that we can arrange to have it removed as quickly as possible. To enable us to remove graffiti from private property we need an indemnity form to be signed by the property owner. For a form please call 01628 796803 or email [email protected]
We will do our best to remove racist or offensive graffiti within one working day of notification and within five working days from other areas that are the council's responsibility.

**UPDATE**I just returned from walking through the South Path - and all the graffiti is GONE!! Not just the new red graffiti but all the other graffiti that I first posted about back in October 2009. TW, our plans will have to wait for another occasion!
