I am often asked about making a line of text into a link so that it can be clicked to take the reader somewhere else on the web, perhaps another thread on this forum, or a newspaper article, or a related post.
It is fairly easy when using the blue REPLY button on the bottom and to the right of the page of posts.
The concept is to go to the destination page and copy the link that appears at the top of the screen, then go back to the post you were composing, type the text that you want to use as the link, highlight it, and while it is highlighted use the ‘link’ option which looks like a chain. (The second in the group below)
This will give you a text box that you now paste your destination link into. Close the box and the text will have become a coloured link.
Complete your post and post it the forum and then test your link!
If the link doesn’t work - it usually does if you copied it correctly - re-edit the post and try again
