Dear Sirs
Having received a copy of the Conservative Party flyer recently circulated, I am surprised to note that Borough Councillor Jesse Gray has supposedly "worked" with the FRAG process and represented Datchet.
As a resident I have not been properly represented by Mr Gray, far from it, he has been obstructive relevant to representation and having been attached to the Mechanisms of Flooding Committee for over 10 months, publicly stated and recorded on film that, in his view, the flooding of 2003 was "An Act of God". Clearly, he learned and understood nothing he had heard or seen
during that period.
Additionally, he caused severe annoyance to Wraysbury residents at a public meeting with his derogatory remarks regarding where he would not live and that he would not buy a house in Wraysbury. This was especially insensitive when overnight property values were slashed and people having houses rebuilt had suffered huge loss from their own resources.
On the other hand, Datchet Parish Councillor Ewan Larcombe who is also Chairman of Community Support Group South has strongly supported Datchet at Borough meetings, although an "Independent" he has been successful in achieving responsibility and action from the Environment Agency through an unconventional but effective approach.
Yours faithfully
IAN THOMPSON
