FLOOD FAIR - WOKING - Sunday 18th January
Just a reminder that the FLOOD FAIR is on this coming Sunday, details below. We shall have a stand there.
"The Environment Agency will be hosting a Flood Fair on Sunday 18 January 2004 at the HG Wells Conference and Events Centre, Woking.
The free event will give members of the public the chance to find out what flood protection products and services are available to protect and repair homes and businesses vulnerable to flooding
A host of companies will be holding product demonstrations and representatives from the Environment Agency, Surrey County Council, National Flood Forum, Thames Water and the Flood Risk Action Groups will also be on hand to provide information and advice.
The Agency is working closely with local authorities to minimise the impact of flooding to properties, but the organisation is urging home and business owners alike to take steps to reduce the impact of flooding by installing flood protection products.
The event will be open from 10.00am until 4.00pm in the Wells Room at the HG Wells Conference and Events Centre, Church Street East, Woking, close to the main train station. For more information contact the Environment Agency on 01276 454300 between 9am-5pm Monday to Friday."
