The Weekend Express dated 9th January 2004 carries a story on page 5 that the floods report is delayed yet again.
This report is not now due to be available until February. If we can get through this winter without a repeat of the floods then we will be lucky as there are many who believe that it is the increased flows facilitated by the Jubilee River that caused the inundation downstream.
The floods peaked on January 5th 2003, severely affecting areas in Wraysbury and its surroundings, including Runnymede on the south side of the river.
Three Flood Risk Action Groups, comprising members from the Environment Agency, the local authorities and community members from affected areas, were set up and its their report that is awaited. Following publication, public meetings have been promised where future plans will, I assume, be discussed.

What do you have to say about the current state of affairs? How were you affected in the floods? Anyone any stories about 1947?
