We recently came across this picture of a young lady with her bicycle. The photograph is mounted on card which reads 'G T Stevenson,' bottom left, and 'Windsor,' bottom right. Sadly this must be the photographer rather than the name of the young lady.
So the question is: "Who is she?" and "Where is she?"
Assuming the scene is in Windsor it would be interesting to identify the location.
First thoughts were that the roof just visible beyond the tall chimney (R) could be the eastern end of St Edwards Church (Alma Road) as viewed from Dorset Road which would make the buildings those in Claremont Road. On inspection, this does not seem to be the case.
Can anyone place the location? Is the view in their back garden?
Our guess is that the girl is celebrating her 21st birthday and that she has been given a new bicycle. The date is I suppose around 1910. Anyone any better guesses?
