I've been told there's an entrance fee to visit Windsor Castle. IF I wanted to 'just' have a look round in the shop, would I have to pay the
full amount? Are there any OAP concessions? IF I contacted RBWM, telling them that I'm an 'Old Windsorian', would they offer me any type of pass
or concession? Finally, where would I catch a bus to take me to Slough? thanks.

Windsorians can visit castle for free with their residents Advantage Card (not available to non-residents). I don't know if you can get into the shop for
free. Anyone know?

Thankyou thamesweb...I used the link to the Royal Collection website. It's very good. It gives fees for the whole castle, so I'm assuming that if I
wanted just to look in the shop, I would have to pay £8 concessionary for OAP's/£7. when certain parts aren't open.
I've emailed the RBWM and have put my case that 'I'm an 'Old Windsorian', so, would I be given any sort of concession'.......I mentioned too that my late Mother and two Aunts all worked for the Royal Household - I'm not holding my breath, but, if you don't ask, you won't know... The bus stop to Slough seems to be where it was a l o n g time ago....thankyou. |
